I like to solve problems and I am persistent. When in high school, I loved playing lacrosse. I played a ton of wall ball since my teammates lived too far away. Wall ball against the house made a lot of noise which bugged my family. One day I wanted to play but someone was asleep in the house. I went to the basement and hooked a bunch of thick rubber bands together and connected them to a lacrosse ball with a hook that I screwed in the ball. I connected this to the top of my lacrosse stick and threw it. The ball flew through the air and stretched the rubber bands and snapped back to my stick. This was my first prototype for a product that eventually sold tens of thousands throughout the world. I revised my design with special rubber tubing and artistic lacrosse balls. As a freshman in college I wrote up and submitted my own patent (click here to see the patent I wrote up), learned how to source products through the Thomas Register, how to incorporate a company and connected with top lacrosse distributors. It was my first venture in the world of
startups which was continued at Calient Networks, LightPointe, Ethertronics and NTest ; I have attached an article
from a lacrosse magazine where my company (Turbotrax Inc.) was
profiled. Through all my years of building products and companies, I have learned to deeply understand a customers need and never stop until it is solved.
